The department would like to extend its condolences to the family, friends and school mates of Mr Motlalepula Ntsala, a Grade 11 learner at Boitumelo Secondary School in Ficksburg.
Mr Ntsala was involved in a fatal accident when he collided with another soccer player during one of the 32 Schools Mini World Cup soccer matches. The soccer match was hosted on 19 February in Ficksburg. The Head of the Department, Mr Tjoko Kambule and his team of managers in the department, paid a courtesy visit to the school and the family of Mr Ntsala of the late Motlalepula Ntsala, to officially convey the department’s condolences to the bereaved.
The 32 Schools Mini World Cup tournament was launched on 17 October 2009 as part of the hype towards the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Mr Ntsala was part of this significant programme when he tragically lost his life.
Mr Ntsala will be buried on 27 February in Ficksburg.
