The Olievenhoutbosch ministerial housing project was initiated as a result of both social needs of the community, delivery targets and strategies of the national and provincial departments, the housing city planning, environmental management department of City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality and Absa bank. The development aims to establish subsisted, institutional/ social and individual owned bonded housing products that compliments each other and form part of a sustainable human settlement.
The project is planned to deliver an integrated mix housing typologies totalling
5 426 units including:
* 2 985 subsidised units comprising of four phases
* 1 263 institutional units (affordable housing)
* 1 168 bonded units (purchasing financed through home loans)
