The meeting between the two Ministers was held in Cape Town on 22 February 2012.
The meeting focused on strengthening the cultural relations between Israel and South Africa.
The Israeli Minister invited Minister Mashatile to visit Israel during this coming May in order to discuss ways to promote cultural ties and the signing of a cultural agreement between the two countries.
Minister Mashatile welcomed the invitation and indicated that he will be pleased if Minister Livnat can come back to South Africa on an official visit.
