Media statement by the Department of Basic Education on the release of National Senior Certificate supplementary examinations results

The Department of Basic Education wishes to announce that the results of the National Senior Certificate (NSC) supplementary examinations arising from the NSC Grade 12 examinations in 2010 will be released on Friday, 6 May 2011.

A total of 101 078 full time candidates registered to write the NSC supplementary examinations, which started on 14 February 2011 and were completed on 24 March 2011. Candidates wrote a total of 115 papers in 1 156 examination centres across the country.

The supplementary examinations process was completed successfully with no irregularities or incidents reported at any of the examination centres.

Learners who wrote the supplementary exams are advised to collect their results from the examination centres where they wrote from Monday, 9 May 2011.
