Media statement on BBQ awards

Limpopo Head of Department of Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs (CoGHSTA), Mr Nkomotane Clifford Motsepe has scooped yet another Van Ryn’s Black Business Quarterly (BBQ) magazine Awards 2011for Public Sector Visionary category. The winners were announced at the BBQ Van Ryn's Awards gala dinner on Friday, 28 October 2011 at the Emperors Palace in Gauteng.

The 10th anniversary of the Van Ryn’s BBQ Awards this year aimed to highlight South Africa’s past and present leaders in transformation and to pay tribute to the men and women who paved the way to economic transformation.

As a Head of CoGHSTA, Motsepe has received 19 awards relating to the provision of excellent quality service delivery since 2009 to date; including being recognised by the Centre for Public Service Innovation (CPSI) for Innovative use of information communication technology for effective service delivery. His project management capabilities have seen the department leading in ground-breaking achievements not only provisionally but nationally as well.

The national ministry of Human Settlements has acknowledged his sterling contribution to the development of integrated human settlements in Limpopo. Recently the department he leads has received a clean bill of health from the Auditor-General for the financial year 2010/11.

Motsepe is Limpopo’s black icon who has shown true commitment to the transformation agenda through best practices.
