The Department of International Relations and Co-operations has taken note of media speculations regarding ambassadorial appointments in today's Sunday Times and Sunday Independent respectively.
As indicated by Director-General, Dr Ayanda Ntsaluba last week Thursday, 30 July 2009 at the weekly media briefing, the department will make an announcement on the process pertaining to diplomatic postings tomorrow, Monday, 3 August 2009.
In the meantime, the department, through its current Ambassadors, High Commissioners and Consul-Generals as well as supporting officials continue to fly the South African flag in the international arena in the service of the Republic of South Africa.
