Media invitation to a site visit of the President’s Hotline

Members of the media are invited to a site visit of the President’s Hotline and supporting infrastructure that will handle and respond to public queries.

The Hotline forms part of the President’s Public Liaison Unit and Hotline, which will position the Presidency as a catalyst to unblock service delivery bottlenecks, encourage a better service delivery culture across government and strengthen interaction between government and citizens.

The project aims to encourage all-round improvement in many areas such as lack of access to services, fraud, long queues, unfriendly and indifferent public servants, late or no feedback, corruption as well as websites that are not updated or user-friendly.

Media will be able to view how the hotline system works and the supporting infrastructure already in place. The event takes place after a meeting of Public Liaison Officers from different spheres of government which are providing support to the President’s Hotline.

There will also be opportunities for interviews with officials from The Presidency and photographs on site.
