Media advisory on accreditation for the National Results Operation Centre in Pretoria

The National Results Operation Centre (ROC) will be in Pretoria in Hall J, Tshwane Events Centre (previously Pretoria International Show Grounds), Souter Street (off DF Malan Street), Pretoria West.

Accreditation for the National Results Operation Centre is compulsory and must be done online at http://rsaelections.azurewebsites.net. The attached brochure explains the process step-by-step.

To qualify for accreditation for the National ROC you will have to provide a valid media/press card or a letter from your station manager/editor on an original letterhead. Foreign media representation will have to provide their GCIS accreditation card.

This process is for the National ROC in Pretoria ONLY. If you need accreditation for one of the provincial Results Operation Centres – there is one in each province including Gauteng – please see the contact names and details below.

PLEASE NOTE: Media representatives do not need accreditation to cover the elections. South African media will need a media/press card or a letter from their station manager/editor. Foreign media representatives will need accreditation from GCIS.

Access to a voting station is with the approval of the Presiding Officer of the particular voting station.

Time table for application of accreditation:

8 April – Online application for accreditation now open
24 April – Accreditation office at the ROC in Pretoria opens for collection

Collection of cards:

If you are collecting in person, you will be required to show proof of identification. If you are collecting on behalf of others, you will need a letter of authorisation from your manager/editor with the names and ID or Passport numbers of the people you are collecting for.

If you have any queries on how to register online or whether your card is ready for collection, you are welcome to send an email to: accreditation@elections.org.za
