Media accreditation: State of the Nation Address

The President of the Republic of South Africa Mr Jacob Zuma will deliver his State of the Nation Address to Parliament on Thursday, 14 February 2013. The 2013 State of the Nation Address will be delivered in the evening, at around 19h00.

Members of the media wishing to report from the Parliamentary precinct when President Zuma delivers his address in the National Assembly Chamber or wishing to broadcast from the Parliamentary precinct on 14 February 2013 must send their details to Modise Kabeli (mkabeli@parliament.gov.za or on 082 077 4682), Nolizwi Magwagwa (nmagwagwa@parliament.gov.za or on 083 313 1323) and Mlindi Mpindi (mmpindi@parliament.gov.za or on 073 197 1315), by Wednesday, 16 January 2013.

Details required are:

  • Full name
  • ID/passport number
  • Name of media organisation and media group
  • Designation (writer, photographer, for example)
  • E-mail address
  • Telephone number
  • Mobile phone number

Media wishing to broadcast from the Parliamentary precinct should also provide:

  • Make of vehicle(s)
  • Registration number(s)
  • Clearance certificates from service providers for temporary structures (tents, etc) they wish to erect
  • Other equipment
  • Time of arrival
  • Time of departure
