MEC Yawa appeals for calm after the murder of Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging (AWB) leader Eugene Terre'Blanche

The MEC for Public Safety, Howard Yawa has reacted with shock at the news that AWB leader, Eugene Terre'Blanche (approximately 65) was allegedly murdered at his farm, 10 kilometres outside Ventersdorp on Saturday evening.

MEC Yawa condemns the callous murder in the strongest terms possible and appeals for calm and for people to allow the law to take its course. Terre'Blanche’s two employees have been arrested by police for questioning in connection with his murder. He was allegedly assaulted with an iron rod and stabbed with a panga found by police at the scene of the crime.

Yawa says that no stone will be left unturned to arrest those responsible for the murder.
