The Gauteng MEC for Community Safety, Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane, condemns with the strongest possible terms the brutal killing of a police constable based at the Johannesburg Park Station.
The constable was, yesterday morning, responding to a robbery at a bakery in the station when he was shot and killed.
“An attack on a law enforcement officer is an attack on the state. Our law enforcement officers cannot be held at ransom by few lawless criminals. We will work around the clock to ensure that we bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to book and ensure that they face the full might of the law. I appeal to anyone with information on the shooting to bring it to our attention.
