MEC Reginah Mhaule on end of 2014 Grade 12 examination

2014 examination process a success

Today, marks the last day and the end of the 2014 Grade 12 examination.

So far the department is satisfied with the manner in which the examinations progressed. There were no serious hassles and it is safe to indicate that it was an incident free examination process.

This success is attributed to the dedication and commitment of officials, teachers, learners, parents and the support from the entire provincial communities.

The MEC for Education, Mrs Reginah Mhaule has extended her profound appreciation to all institutions and people who made this possible.

“This is the fifth year of a well-managed examination process thanks to the men and women who rose above the expected norm, who worked around the clock to make this possible. The security cluster is worth mentioning for their patriotic contribution. They came to the party and made it their own. We thank them dearly.

Now that our learners have finished writing, I feel obliged to request our learners to start preparing for the world outside secondary schooling. Let them refrain from doing things that may rob them of their future, things such as the vices of not respecting their parents, drug abuse, partying the whole night and so on," said MEC Mhaule

Marking

All systems are in place to manage the second level of the examination process that includes marking which will start on 1 to 14 December 2014. 3267 markers have already been appointed to mark in 18 Marking centres within the province.
