The MEC for Education, Mrs Reginah Mhaule has dismissed the appeal from the owner of CEFUPS Academy. This means that the decision of the Mpumalanga Department of Education to withdraw the registration of CEFUPS Academy as from 1 January 2015 stands.
The owner of CEFUPS has since been informed about this decision. The department will immediately start to inform parents and all other relevant stakeholders of this decision and also assist parents where possible in finding space for learners in other public schools for the 2015 school year.
The investigation report remains an internal document of the department until such time that a decision to release it is made.
