MEC Radzilani: Condolences to the Madigage family

The MEC for Safety, Security and Liaison Me. Florence Radzilani sends a message of condolences to the family and friends of the late Bafana-Bafana assistant coach Thomas “Chincha” Madigage who passed away last night in a car accident.

Madigage had yesterday afternoon joined the Department’s Crime Awareness
Campaign in the village of Taung, Greater Tubatse Local Municipality,
Sekhukhune. Madigage was in the area to contribute to nation-building
notwithstanding the fact that two days ago he was on the bench with Coach
Gordon Igesund in Nairobi, Kenya, when South Africa beat the host country 2–0.

Madigage is no stranger to community development, particularly in the province of Limpopo. Through his Thomas Madigage Foundation he has touched the lives of many people in the province through football development, bursaries, school uniforms, computers and groceries.

For us as the Department for Safety, Security and Liaison Madigage was a
worthy and committed partner in our fight against crime.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Madigage Family, Friends and the
broader Bafana-Bafana family. In Madigage we have lost a well-rounded Nation Builder.
