MEC Nono Maloyi conveys sincere condolences to Molefe’s family and Motsweding fm

North West Human Settlements, Public Safety and Liaison, MEC Nono Maloyi conveys his sincere condolences to the Molefe family and Motsweding FM following the loss of their loved one and colleague, Ralph Molefe who passed on last week Friday night.

The Motsweding FM’s 2h00 – 6h00 am Ga Bo Motho presenter died on an unfortunate accident when his White Toyota Camry collided head on with a Hyundai Getz at Monakato in Rustenburg.

MEC Maloyi said Molefe died at the time when the department is forming partnership with media to promote and transmit road safety messages in the province with objectives of making North West a crime and accident free zone.

“Mr Molefe was going to be one of presenters to drive road safety messages to our road users out there but unfortunately he left us in a sudden death. As the department we are saddened by his death and we support the family and the station during this time of grieve,” said Maloyi.

Maloyi emphasised that his department will work 24/7 to reducing road fatalities in the province. “We have handed over traffic vehicles and increased the number of traffic officers and by so doing we are going to be all over the roads of the province to reduce the high number of carnages on our roads,” said Maloyi.

MEC Maloyi further extended his condolences to the family of Ms. Jacobeth Mamphulo"Jacky" Mpete, a departmental official who died due to injuries she sustained in a recent car accident between Rustenburg and Zeerust.

Speaking during the recent Festive Arrive Alive and Operation When Duty Calls launch last week Friday at the Mmabatho Stadium, Maloyi ordered Traffic Authorities and SAPS to deal harshly with criminals and road offenders during this year’s festive season.
