MEC Mohono appeals for information to assist Christiana fire investigations

In expressing condolences to the families of the four pupils who died after a fire in their hostel room at the Christiana School for the Blind, North West MEC for Human Settlements, Safety and Liaison, Desbo Mohono on Tuesday assured the public that police investigations are continuing.

MEC Mohono said that the national forensic team that was summoned to investigate the incidents concluded its investigations on Tuesday and that investigators are eagerly awaiting the report to assist them in their investigations.

“The heartbreaking deaths of the four children has shaken all of us and left us numb. Justice is the only consolation, therefore no stone will be unturned until those who might be responsible for the callous deed are behind bars, ”stressed Mohono.

Mohono appeals to members of the community to assist police in their investigations by coming forward with any information that think might assist police in their investigations.
