The Gauteng MEC for Community Safety, Faith Mazibuko, has learned with sadness the passing of former SAPS Provincial Commissioner, Perumal Naidoo.
Naidoo, whose career spanned more than 30 years in the SAPS, has contributed immensely in the crime fighting initiatives in Gauteng. The contribution he has made in Gauteng is one such that the province will not forget. He passed on in Durban after a short illness.
“We acknowledge his contribution in ensuring that Gauteng is a safer province. This is evident by the crime statistics released during his tenure. On behalf of the Gauteng provincial government I would like to extend our most sincere condolences to his family and friends,” said MEC Mazibuko.
