As part of the roll out plan for Know Your Neighbourhood Campaign, the Gauteng MEC
of Community Safety Ms Faith Mazibuko will on Wednesday 13 July 2011 launch the campaign in the Sunnyside cluster, Pretoria. The campaign aims at enhancing:
- Neighbourhood Safety Networks
- Community Involvement.
The outcomes that we wish to promote from the campaign are:
- Drastic reduction in Trio crimes
- Better dialogue between all people and communities
- Shared understanding within neighbourhoods.
The programme for the day has three phases and the phases are as follows:
Phase 1: Presentation by Cluster Commander on the state of policing within the cluster.

Phase 2: Door to door campaign
Venue: Plastic View Informal Settlements in Garsfontein

Phase 3: Launch of the Know Your Neighborhood Campaign
Venue: N G Kerk Univesiteitsoord, Cnr Herold & Hillcrest Street, opposite Brooklyn Police
