MEC Leeto congratulates Ms Dipolelo Hou
The Free State MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation Mrs. Mathabo Leeto wishes to take this opportunity to congratulate Ms. Dipolelo Hou who will represent South Africa at the forthcoming Miss Plus World which will be held in Atlanta, United States of America on 25 July 2018. Ms. Hou made history for being the first South African representative in the Miss Plus World pageant. She currently works for the Department as a PA to the MEC. She has an impressive track record in beauty pageant contests having previously won several prizes at a local and provincial level and now competing at an international stage.
The Miss Plus World seeks to strengthen communication and engage in open dialogue with women from across the world about issues that affect them. The pageant further seeks to elevate and celebrate the accomplishments and humanitarian services of women while building a sisterhood of confident and influential ladies who share their cultures as they promote education, peace, wellness and community service.
“Ms. Hou is a valued staff member of DSACR and she serves as a beacon of hope and a great source of inspiration for many women in our country – young and old. Her determination and self-confidence are attributes which have seen her rising above the rest. The Department wishes her the best of luck as she will be competing at an international stage alongside many women from various countries. Let us continue to give her the support she needs during this period to ensure that she prepares well and brings back the prize home.
