MEC Marawu to lead a roadblock on the notorious N2 Transport, Roads and Public Works Thandiswa Marawu has once again placed a massive emphasis on the terrible accidents that are happening in the Eastern Cape roads, particularly on the N2 between East London and Kokstad, by leading a roadblock at Ndabakazi Junction on the N2 almost 15 km from Butterworth on 23 December 2011 at 12h00.
“This roadblock forms part of our response to the notorious N2 road accidents that have been happening since the beginning of this festive season,” says MEC Marawu.
She is highly concerned about the number of people who have lost their lives on our roads since the beginning of the festive season because of reckless driving, disobeying the rules of the road, speeding, drunken driving and fatigued drivers, which were the main reasons for the scourge of road deaths.
