As part of improving service delivery in the provincial traffic stations, Eastern Cape MEC for Transport, Roads and Public Works, Thandiswa Marawu handed over 12 computers to Chris Hani District stations during a stakeholder engagement session held at the Aloe Grove Guest Farm outside Queenstown on 11 October 2011.
These computers were taken from Provincial Registering Authorities and Driving Lessons and Testing Centres.
Addressing the stakeholders, MEC Marawu said that the department has taken into cognisance that remedial actions have to be introduced as part of continuous improvement of services rendered by the department.
“This is a clear advancement of Batho Pele principles, a policy which aims to get public servants to be service orientated, to strive for excellence in service delivery and to commit to continuous service delivery improvement,” said Marawu.
