Gauteng MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation Lebogang Maile has expressed great sadness and shock at learning of the death of former National Press Club chairman and Pretoria News reporter Patrick Hlahla.
The 58 year-old Hlahla passed away on Sunday morning at his home in Atteridgeville.
“We join the multitudes of South Africans in the media industry as well as Mr Hlahla’s family and friends, in mourning the sudden loss of one of our revered correspondents of our time, I would like to extend my sincerest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues, this is indeed a loss to all of us and we will continue to honour his name and the values he stood for,” said MEC Maile.
