MEC Madoda Sambatha acknowledges court ruling on physical security tender

The North West Health MEC Madoda Sambatha has noted the outcome of the court ruling pertaining to the physical security tender. The Department had around 30 September 2019 awarded the tender for provision of physical security services following the invitation to Bid no. NWDOH 44/19.

The court has ruled that this tender is reviewed and set aside.

The department acknowledges and accept the instructions of the court to issue a fresh invitation for the bids for the rendering of the physical security services to the North West Department of Health.

Furthermore the Department will take all the steps necessary to evaluate and adjudicate the bids received and award the bid to the new successful bidders as per instruction of the court.

Health MEC Madoda Sambatha said that, the court order also states that the status quo in terms of the security service providers currently rendering services to the department will continue to render such services until the new tender is awarded as directed by the court.

“We will then immediately draft a letter to the current service providers communicating the contents of the court order to them and its implications”, said MEC Sambatha
