MEC Maile congratulates Mamelodi Sundowns for their FIFA Intercontinental victory
The Gauteng MEC for Education, Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Lebogang Maile, has congratulated the reigning African club champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, on their historic victory over a star-studded Al-Ahli of Saudi Arabia in the FIFA Intercontinental -Africa-Asia Cup at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium earlier today, Saturday 19 September.
MEC Maile praised Masandawana for turning another page in the history of the club.
“Mamelodi Sundowns continues to prove their mettle on the international stage against top teams from across the world. Their ambition demonstrates the quality and competitiveness of South African football and the levels it can develop towards. This is indeed a great day for South African football and the history of Mamelodi Sundowns.”
