Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport MEC Ismail Vadi sympathises with commuters
The Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport has noted with concern disruptions to the taxi services caused by the strike called by the (National Taxi Alliance) NTA, in and around Gauteng.
The department would like to assure commuters that it remains committed to avoiding disruption in services at all times and that the taxi industry is no exception.
“We understand the frustration commuters suffered today and we hope that our endeavours with the industry will minimize this occurrence in the future. The department’s doors remain open to resolve whatever challenges the industry is experiencing,” MEC Vadi said.
