MEC Vadi to expresses condolences to the Shabangu family
Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport Ismail Vadi has expressed shock at the killing of Mr S. Shabangu, Chairperson of Gauteng North Taxi Association (GNTA) on Monday, 17 February 2014.
Mr Shabangu worked closely with Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport and had regular meetings with MEC Vadi where they discussed issues that affected taxi operations on regular basis, an innovative leader who contributed a lot into growing the taxi industry, a robust yet constructive person who always brought good strong points in his debates and arguments.
On behalf of the government of Gauteng, I want to extend our condolences to his family, GNTA and the entire taxi industry. In remembering Shabangu we will continue to advocate for transformation in the taxi industry and to maintain order and stability,” said Vadi.
