MEC Faith Mazibuko welcomes the sentences given to paramedics’ rapists

Gauteng Community Safety MEC Faith Mazibuko has welcomed the life sentences given to the suspects that attacked and raped two paramedics in Roodepoort. The MEC followed with interest the proceedings that led to the successful conviction of the two men.

The MEC congratulates the investigating officers, the prosecutor and the witnesses for the excellent work done to bring the perpetrators to book. “This sends a strong message that women’s rights are human rights. People must not engage in unbecoming behaviours and hope to get away with it” said MEC Mazibuko.
