MEC Dan Kgothule wins National Lotteries Board Award

Last night, 18  April 2013, the MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Mr Dan Kgothule was awarded with the National Lotteries Board (NLB) overall award in the category of “Promotion of the National Lotto Mandate.”

This award was awarded during the NLB Awards ceremony held in the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality, Gauteng on 18 April 2013.

This award is an expression of the sterling work being done in the Free State, a manifestation of the strong stakeholder relations that exists between the department and its partners under the leadership of Mr Kgothule.

“I want to dedicate this award to all our stakeholders in the Free State only through whose support this achievement was possible! This support has ensured that we adhere to NLB processes of Cooperative Governance and Grant Funding Agreement,” stated Mr Kgothule.

Mr Kgothule will therefore, like to express his gratitude to all those who continue to contribute towards the fulfillment of the mandate of the department in one form or another.

The awards were adjudicated by an experienced and distinguished panel of judges, representing various sectors and constituencies based on predetermined criteria.

The award winners receive extensive media coverage by the NLB as well as the unique NLB Awards Trophy which symbolises the NLB’s pride of the winner’s achievements and their contribution to national priorities such as job creation, poverty alleviation and upliftment.
