Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport, Bheki Nkosi, will use public transport en route to his office on Wednesday, 20 October 2010. Nkosi will board a Metrorail train from the Centurion railway station, where he will buy a ticket to take a train to Johannesburg Park Station. The train departs from the station at exactly 5:50 am, stopping Kempton Park Station at 6:15 am. It will arrive at the Johannesburg Park Station at 7:15 am.
From Park Station, MEC Nkosi will take a shuttle bus service to the office at Simmonds Street.
MEC Nkosi continues to appeal to the public to utilise public transport such as rail, BRT and taxis which form the backbone of the road-based transport system in Gauteng in order to decrease the number of private vehicles on Gauteng roads.
