The President’s Special Envoy, Mr Mac Maharaj is to take over an additional task of being the Spokesperson of President Jacob Zuma, with immediate effect.
Mr Maharaj is currently the special envoy handling especially matters in North Africa and the Middle East, and is a member of the Zimbabwe facilitation team. He also represents the President to the G20 infrastructure working group.
The Special Adviser on Communications, Mr Zizi Kodwa, has been acting as spokesperson currently until an appointment could be made. Mr Kodwa will continue with his tasks as communication adviser.
