On a recent visit to Nwa’mitwa in the Mopani District, Limpopo Premier Chupu Stanley Mathabatha made an undertaking to have boreholes constructed in the area in a bid to alleviate the water scarcity in that area. Currently the contractors are on site and the drilling of boreholes has commenced. The cry from Nwa’mitwa residents did not fall on deaf ears as the Provincial Government continues to live up to its word.
The provincial government has been consistent in responding to the call of citizens for better service delivery.
The residents of Phasa/Mampuru village in the Sekhukhune District had lodged a grievance to the Provincial Government about an access road to the village. The provincial government prioritised this grievance and construction on the road is currently underway. This multi-year project is worth R354m and will provide a 16km road to the village.
The Premier and the Executive Council visited Taueatsoala in the Waterburg District and after a call for more decent housing the Provincial Government launched a project to build 40 houses in Taueatsoala and 20 in Ga-Hlako. In the neighbouring village of Thabaleshoba, the Health Centre had been without a doctor but after the intervention of the EXCO a doctor has commenced work at the health centre.
The provincial government is continuing, on a monthly basis, to visit communities across the province to listen to community issues and fast track service delivery.
