Limpopo Premier welcomes extra budget for housing

Limpopo Premier, Cassel Mathale has welcomed the allocation of an additional R131 million by the Human Settlements Ministry to the province aimed at building more RDP houses. This allowance will help to build extra 5 300 houses as provincial government is working tirelessly to speed up service delivery to our people who need shelter and proper housing.

Mathale says, “More of our people in the rural areas will now taste the fruits of democracy as we bring change to their lives. We will continue to deliver on our promises as a province. Our people in the rural areas have waited long enough for service delivery to reach them and with this move by the Human Settlements Ministry we are confident that visible changes to the areas that have not benefited will be noticeable.”

“We appreciate the recognition we have been given by the Minister of Human Settlements, Tokyo Sexwale on the delivery the province has made and continues to make. We believe this will give courage and morale to the men and women who are contributing to expeditious delivery of houses to our people,” Mathale added.

We are calling to those who will be receiving the houses to jealously care for them and avoid using them for the purposes they were not meant for, like selling or hiring them out.
