Three suspects aged between 29 and 42 held for suspected rhino poaching last week Friday in an intelligence led operation between crime intelligence and Vaalwater detectives have been denied bail by the Vaalwater Periodical Magistrate pending their next appearance on June 25, 2014. A Toyota Tazz, 416 rifle with a silencer, an axe and saw were seized from the suspects.
The female suspect Sibonginkosi Mhlakanipiswa will appear on Wednesday as opposed to today on charges of possession of 40 detonators and 40 cartridges last week Thursday. The explosives were allegedly found inside the bag and others on her body by police while she was attempting to cross to South Africa on foot.
