Limpopo Provincial Government will be hosting 15 Heads of Missions from Asian and Middle East countries represented in South Africa. The aim of the visit is to explore trade and investment opportunities and partnership to create sustainable economic development as part our drive to create more jobs, reduce unemployment and eradicate poverty.
The Heads of Missions are arriving in Limpopo province today and over the next four days they will participate in a business seminar to be held at The Ranch Hotel on Tuesday the 2nd December 2014, followed by an exposure trip to Vhembe District for selected agriculture projects. Says Phuti Seloba, Limpopo Provincial Government Communications spokesperson.
"The Heads of Missions will be accompanied by their economic and trade attaches for networking with counterparts from both chambers of business and leading economic development agencies of Limpopo Province'
When Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane was appointed as minister of Department of International Relations and Cooperation, she emphasised the importance of creating strong trade relations between South Africa and all emerging and established economies, particularly the Middle East Block which forms part of this visit. The programme would culminate in a visit to all provinces occasionally to ensure these ambassadors are exposed to all the economic and investment opportunities offered by each province and South Africa at large.
Members of the media are invited to attend the welcoming cocktail tonight at 18h00 at The Ranch as well as the business seminar taking place tomorrow at the same venue starting at 08h00.
