The Department of Labour’s compensation fund distances itself from Sinempilo medical billing due to fraud
The Compensation Fund is a schedule 3A entity of the Department of Labour with a clear mandate of providing compensation to the occupational diseased or injured employees.
The Compensation Fund (The Fund) has conducted fraud investigation on a large scale and there were risk transactions on this case which directly implicates Sinempilo Medical Billing. The Fund has a duty to prevent fruitless and wasteful expenditure and protect medical service providers, as such the Fund will no longer be processing any invoices submitted through Sinempilo effectively from today.
