Ms Dolly Chiloane has been appointed Chief Director: Provincial Operations (CD:PO) Mpumalanga, Department of Labour with effect from 1 November 2014. Chiloane replaces Aggy Moiloa, who is now Department of Labour Chief Operating Officer.
Prior to joining the Department she worked as a Lecturer at Mapulaneng College of Education and as a part-time tutor at the then Technikon SA and UNISA respectively. She joined the Department as Assistant Director: Training and Performance Management in 2000. She was appointed Sector Liaison Manager: Skills Development in 2004, where she immensely contributed towards the development of a tool to manage the performance of SETAs. She transferred to the position of Deputy Director: Human Resources Development in 2007, a position she held until her latest appointment.
She matriculated at Lehlasedi High School in Bushbuckridge; Mpumalanga .She holds a BA Degree in Education from the University of the North (now called University of Limpopo), a B.ED Hons from the University of the Witwatersrand (WITS), a ND: HRM from Technikon SA (now merged with UNISA) and A BTECH: Human Resource Development (HRD) from UNISA. She has completed a number of certificate programmes including a Management Development Programme from Wits, an Advanced Management Development Programme from the University of Pretoria and Financial and Accounting for Public entities with UNISA. She is currently studying for a Master of Business Leadership with UNISA Graduate School of Business Leadership.
Some of her career highlights include the development and implementation of a human resource development strategy, development and review of HRD policies, development of succession planning guidelines and implementation of Management Development Programmes and accelerated development programme for women and people with disability. She is knowledgeable in various pieces of Labour & Public Service legislation and departmental policies.
An assertive, resourceful, innovative, proactive, and action-oriented team leader Chiloane boasts an array of skills among others in: project management, strategic planning and management, financial management, human resources management and communication skills.
Ms Chiloane has served in various Departmental Committees, such as the National Performance Management Review Board ,The National Bursary Committee, the National Training Committee and the National Employment Equity Forum.
Ms Chiloane remains committed to devote time and effort to contribute towards the achievement of the strategic objectives of the Department.
