Invitation to participate in an Outward Selling and Investment Mission to Warsaw and Pozńa in Poland

The DTI  invites companies to apply to participate in an Outward Selling and Investment Mission to Warsaw and Pozńa in Poland from 21 to 25 October 2013.

The objective of this mission is to increase trade and investment between South Africa, Poland. It is an ideal platform for South African companies that would like to export value-added products and services or increase investment opportunities in Warsaw and Pozńa.

Poland is strategically positioned at the centre of the European Union and offers a combined potential export market of more than R194 trillion in 2012, according to TradeMap (ITC, Switzerland).

This is a promising market with numerous opportunities for South African exporters in the following targeted sectors:

  • Mining equipment and technology
  • Metal products
  • ICT
  • Electro-technical and Automotive components; and
  • Agro processing.

Companies will be screened and selected in line with EMIA guidelines and market requirements, which are explained in the EMIA guidelines document.

For the approved companies, the DTI will provide:

  • A subsistence allowance of  R2,000 per day; and
  • An economy class return airfare to a maximum of R13,000.

Companies that are not eligible for EMIA funding are welcome to participate in this mission at their own expense.
