Interested and affected parties are invited to submit written comments on this Draft Revised General Policy on the Allocation and Management of Fishing Rights: April 2013.
The Draft Revised General Policy applies to the following fishing sectors:
Hake Deep Sea Trawl Tuna Handline
Hake Inshore Trawl Seaweed
Horse Mackerel Shark Demersal
Small Pelagics Hake Handline
Patagonian Toothfish West Coast Rock Lobster (Near Shore)
South Coast Rock Lobster Oysters
KwaZulu-Natal Prawn Trawl White Mussels
Hake Long Line Netfishing
West Coast Rock Lobster Abalone
Squid Traditional Linefish
Fish Processing Establishments
Interested parties may submit written comments to the Department by no later than 17h00 on 10 May 2013 by mail, by hand, e-mail or telefax transmission. Please note that comments received after the closing date may be disregarded.
