The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) has published the second draft terrestrial broadcasting frequency plan 2008 in Government Gazette number 32385.
In October 2008, the ICASA published the first draft terrestrial broadcasting frequency plan in Government Gazette number 31501, the purpose of which was to add further detail to the allotment of broadcasting frequencies, with specific emphasis on frequencies that will be assigned for digital migration purposes.
The ICASA received comments on the first draft which have now been incorporated into the second draft.
Interested parties are therefore requested to submit further written representations on the second draft terrestrial broadcasting frequency plan for the attention of Monde Mbanga to mmbanga@icasa.org.za or alternatively to:
