The National Commissioner of the South African Police Service, General Riah Phiyega has noted with shock and deep concern the cold blooded killings of members who were attacked whilst executing their official duties.
In the most recent incidents, a Detective Constable, A. Krishanlal attached to the Pinetown SAPS in KwaZulu Natal was shot and killed and Constable S.J. Mngoma was critically injured whilst attending to a robbery scene in Pinetown.
