The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) hereby notifies all licensees of the release of the 2014 International Telecommunications Union (ITU) Information and communications technology (ICT) Indicators Questionnaires (The Long Questionnaire Version). The purpose of the questionnaire is to collate information on the South African ICT sector for the purposes of submission to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) as part of South Africa’s obligation as a member state.
The information obtained will further enable the authority to gather and update ICT information to assist it in ensuring effective and evidence-based regulation; and establish the base for future analysis of the ICT sector. In addition, the information may be used for medium to long term policy making initiatives.
This questionnaire will be available for download on the Authority’s website.
Licensees are requested to fill in the questionnaire in Excel format and to submit the responses by the 8th of September 2014.
