The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa hereby gives notice to all interested parties regarding the extension of the submission deadline of the Toll-Free Framework Proposals from 9 September 2013 to 18 September 2013. The Authority has considered the extension after receiving written representations from industry stakeholders.
The Numbering Plan Regulations define a toll free service as a service such that for every communication made available, no charge is incurred by the end-user, irrespective of the electronic communication network used in originating the communication. These Regulations have also, amongst others, made provision for the Authority to develop the appropriate framework to support a total toll free environment in consultation with licensed operators and other interested parties.
All interested parties are advised that no further extensions will be granted beyond the extended date i.e. 18 September 2013.
