Help police bust armed robbers

The police in Tomburke just outside Lephalale, have launched a manhunt for two suspects who held the manager of Bureau de Change at Groblersbridge border post at gunpoint in a planned armed robbery.

On Sunday, 17 February 2013 two armed robbers stormed the said office and after pointing the manager with a firearm, they demanded that he opened the safe. The manager cooperated but before unlocking the safe he pressed a panic button and a smoke suddenly filled the office. The robbers then assaulted the manager before fleeing empty handed. No shots were fired.

The police have been on the lookout for the suspect who sped off in a gate away Blue BMW 3 series. The suspects’ faces were clearly caught on CCTV camera and anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects is urged to contact Warrant Officer Simon Moleboroa at 082 731 5943 or Sergeant Paul Makhutja on 073 509 4769.
