The Gauteng Department of Health and Social Development appeals to the media to inform members of the public using services of Helen Joseph Hospital in Auckland Park, Johannesburg to call 076 062 8510 or 079 899 6412 for all emergencies tomorrow, Saturday, 22 August 2009.
The public will not be able to reach the hospital through the 011 489 1011 switchboard number from 21h00 tomorrow until 05h00 on Sunday morning. This is to allow the upgrading of the telephone system which will take place during these hours.
The hospital will however run normally and service delivery will not be interrupted during the upgrade. The department would like to apologise for any inconvenience which may be caused by this upgrade.
