Health Minister visits Free State to improve service delivery

The delivery of quality healthcare in the Free State will be under the spotlight when health Minister Dr Aaron Motsoaledi visits the province tomorrow, 16 March and Friday, 17 March.

During his two-day visit the health Minister will interact with the provincial health department including the health MEC and senior officials from the department. The Minister will also have meetings with hospital CEOs in the province, Heads of Clinical services, doctors, nurses and district health managers.

The meetings will be discussing and agreeing on how best to improve delivery of health services in the province in line with government's programme of improving the standard of care in the country's public health facilities. In his meeting with the health MEC and Head of Department, the health Minister will discuss various health infrastructure projects in the province.

A visit to the various revitilisation areas at Pelonomi hospital will commence from 8h30 where the media can capture footage.

Members of the media are invited to interact with the Minister as he will be doing a tour of Pelonomi hospital at 09h30 tomorrow morning. Pelonomi hospital is one of the country's major public health facilities playing a major role in patient care and doctor training.
