Ms Hanli du Plessis has been appointed as the Acting Head of Department in the Department of Roads and Transport in Limpopo. The MEC for roads and transport in Limpopo, Pitsi Moloto, has accepted the resignation of the former Head of Department, Mr Ntau Letebele, and has wished him well in his future endeavours.
Ms du Plessis, a registered project management professional with a BA Degree in Town and Regional Planning, has served as Acting Head of Department in this department previously. She brings with her a wealth of experience, skills and knowledge, having served 25 years in government.
Her positions in government include heading crime prevention in the Department of Safety and Security and the Strategic Planning unit in the Limpopo Department of Economic Development and Tourism (LEDET). She joined Roads and Transport from the Office of the Premier, where she served as the General Manager responsible for Integrated Planning.
MEC Moloto officially welcomed Ms du Plessis to Team Transport and called on all staff to fully support the Acting Head of Department to fulfil the department’s goal of attaining a clean audit and to provide an effective and efficient service in order to better the lives of all.
