The Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) invites members of the media who wish to cover the funeral service of the late Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi to apply for accreditation.
Applicants are urged to ONLY submit their details for accreditation online by completing the application form available through the following link: https://mrs.gcis.gov.za/
President Cyril Ramaphosa has declared a Special Official Funeral, Category 1 for the late Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi. The State, Official and Provincial Official Funeral Policy of government accords Special Official Funerals, Category 1, to persons of extraordinary credentials specifically designated by the President of the Republic of South Africa.
The online accreditation system will open and close for submissions as follows:
Opening date: Tuesday, 12 September 2023 @11h00
Closing date: Thursday, 14th September 2023 @16h00
