MEC Tertuis Simmers hands over houses to persons with disabilities in Oudtshoorn, 13 Jul

On Thursday 13 July, the Provincial Minister of Infrastructure, Tertuis Simmers, will hand over houses to persons with disabilities in Dysselsdorp, Oudtshoorn.   

Speaking ahead of the handover Minister Simmers said: “Tomorrow’s handover reiterates the Western Cape Government’s commitment to accelerate delivery of dignified human settlements for all. I am especially excited to hand over homes to persons with disabilities that have been built with their particular needs in mind.”

The Dysselsdorp project has a total budget of R130 million. The construction of top structures at this project began in September 2021 and is envisaged to create 522 houses upon completion. To date over 420 beneficiaries have moved into their homes.
