UIF community outreach to be hosted by Department of Employment and Labour in a bid to bring services closer to the people of Zastron
Department of Employment and Labour (DEL) in the Free State will be hosting the UIF Community Outreach Campaign at Mofulatshepe Community Hall in Zastron. The event will be held on the 5th of September 2019 from 10:00 am. The aim of this event is to bring a full basket of Department of Employment and Labour services closer to the people of Zastron and neighbouring towns.
To that effect, a full array of (DEL) services will be on offer for employers, employees and work seekers alike. To ensure instant services are provided, a full complement of DEL branches and agencies will be in attendance. The Unemployment Insurance Fund will be processing applications on the spot.
Public Employment Services (PES) officials such as Career Counsellors and Employment Service Practitioners will also be providing PES services that include registering of work-seekers onto the Employment Services of South Africa (ESSA) database, as well as registering employment opportunities which will later be matched with available work seekers. Labour Inspectors will be taking and attending to enquiries and complaints related to non-compliance to labour legislation.
To ensure that they do not miss out on such an opportunity, members of the community are urged to come in their numbers. Furthermore, community members are requested to bring along relevant documents speaking to their respective service needs to assist the Department in its quest to provide instant service.
