In an effort to allow more Gauteng residents an opportunity to nominate their favourite sport stars for the 2012 Gauteng Sport Awards, the Gauteng Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation (SACR), in partnership with Telkom have extended the closing date for submission of nominations to Friday 25 May 2012 at 14h00.
Nominations can be made in the following 12 of the 14 categories: Sportsman of the Year, Sportswoman of the Year, Sport Team of the Year, Disabled Sportswoman of the Year, Disabled Sportsman of the Year, Disabled Sports Team of the Year, Most promising athlete of the year, Most promising team of the year, Coach of the Year, Technical Official of Year, Administrator of the Year and the Sport Journalist of the year.
Nomination forms and guidelines can be accessed from the departmental website via the Gauteng Provincial Government web portal www.gautengonline.gov.za or directly on www.sacr.gpg.gov.za
Nominations can be emailed through to: sportsawards@gauteng.gov.za alternatively they can be delivered at SACR offices at 38 Rissik Street, Nedbank Building, cnr Market and Rissik streets.
